It is part of a large complex called the DBI Sports Complex, which houses a majority of sporting facilities used by players representing the state of Perak such as the Velodrome Rakyat (cycling), Indera Mulia Stadium (indoor stadium) and the Sultan Azlan Shah Stadium (hockey).

They are so loyal to the Silver State that since the semi-professional league was in- troduced in 1989, Perak have never suffered a drop in crowd attendance. That makes Perak arguably the country’s best supported team. The Perak fan club even have their own website which is updated often. And there are advertisements to go along with it! I still remember during the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea. ‘Live’ matches clashed with M- League games but Perak Stadium still managed to draw an average of 10,000 fans. So passionate are Perak’s supporters they would even pass up a World Cup tie to cheer their team.
