Murphree Hall was built in 1921. It was also the first dormitory on the east side to be renovated, in 1993. It's named after the wife of the third President of FSU (he was named Albert Alexander Murphree).

Jennie Murphree can house up to 327 students. However, it is the only dorm on campus that's not co-ed; only women can live here.
