Dharmavaram is the fourth biggest village in Anantapur district.It is a municipality located in Anantapur district in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is famous throughout India for producing silk sarees. The Dharmavaram Temples are important places of pilgrimage. Puttaparthi, the birth place and abode of Sathya Sai Baba is situated 42 km from Dharmavaram. Dharmavaram is a railway junction which falls under South Central Railway Zone of Indian Railways. Dharmavaram is just 39 km away from Anantapur city. It is one of the Revenue divisions in the district. Dharmavaram is also one of the Roads & Bungalows (R&B) division.
