Known as Dhaka Central Jail (Part 2) at Kasimur, Gazipur is one of the biggest jail in Asia.

Total land area: Inside the jail is 35 acres and outside the jail is 48.5 acres, on which the 4 residential buildings of Kashimpur jail, agricultural land and Gazipur-Tangail highway are located.

Present capacity: 2000 (male)

Structures: There are 6 six-storied and 3 three-storied prisoner buildings inside this jail. There is a hospital with 200 beds. There are 4 kitchens for prisoners, 1 gallows, a pond and well decorated flower, fruit and vegetables gardens in the jail. There are 1 three-storied, 1 two-storied and 4 single storey buildings in the production department.

Outside jail: There are 44 buildings as residences for the officers and staffs, two prison guard barracks, one school, one mosque, one outdoor clinic, one display center, one inspection bungalow, one pond in the jail.
