Full-scale, hands-on training for emergency responders (Hazmat) has been a specialty of TTCI's since 1985. Our experience in rail equipment testing and our close relationship with the freight and passenger rail industries are fundamental assets to the mission of emergency preparedness.
Over 40,000 students from the rail, chemical, and public emergency response industries have taken their training at TTCI's Security and Emergency Response Training Center. More than 80 railcars, intermodal, and highway transportation vehicles and containers are used to provide highly realistic training scenarios. New emergency response technologies and procedures are routinely tested and evaluated by the staff and students at SERTC.
