  • True, this was never called Netkallappa circle. This was called Subbarama Shetty (Chetty) Circle. The local youth used this circular land for practicing volley ball. During the late sixties the team produced a few national level players. One family had at least two brothers (I am unable to recall their name) representing Karnataka in the National Team. Regularly, volleyball tournaments were conducted under flood lights when electricity was very scarce in Bangalore.
  • I think that this was originally called Obalappa Circle. Nettakallappa Circle was the name given to the junction of Subbarama Chetty Road and DVG Road. I was born and brought up in this area several years ago.
