It's one of the greatest archaeological sites in the state of Guanajuato, and one of the largest civic ceremonial centers of Mesoamerica. It was inhabited between 300 and 900 A.D. Peralta covers 150 hectares, which are distributed in six sets, its architecture is marked by the presence of so-called sunken courtyards. 50 burials have been discovered so far, the most important is that of a woman, accompanied by pottery and shell and turquoise necklaces.
