Saint-Sauveur

Canada / Quebec / Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts /
 city, town

Saint-Sauveur is a small town within the Les Pays-d'en-Haut Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada. It is in the administrative region of Laurentides in the Laurentian mountains about 45 minutes north of Montreal. On September 11, 2002 the city was created from the merger of Village de St-Sauveur-des-monts and Paroisse de St-Sauveur.
St-Sauveur is well known for its local ski hills (which market themselves jointly under the name of "Valley of Saint-Sauveur") and the après-ski establishments in town. Its close proximity to Montreal, the snow-making capability, and night-time skiing, make St-Sauveur a popular destination for skiers.
