Built by embassador Andrej Kirillovitch Rasumofsky in 1806, it burnt down during new years festivities in 1815. A second time the embassador built his palais, but due to lack of money he only could afford a "cheap" variant. If you can, go inside and have a look at these marvellous halls.
Since 1849 this was the residence of the Geological Survey of Austria.
