It was founded on March 3, 1922 by British King George, the Emperor of India and Prince of Wales. It was originally named King George Royal Indian Military School. King George of Britain built four of such cadet schools through out India to benefit the sons of Royal Indian Army.

  • Formerly known as KGRIMS, King George Indian Military School. Was Established in 1925. The students then were called Boys which afterwards was named as Cadets. It had three junior and two senior houses(Hostels), Sher Shah House, Mahmood Ghaznavi House, Aurang Zeb Alamgir House and Tipu Sultan House. I was Y Cadet 1974-76 Cadet No. 3690.
