Vance is a railroad junction in Cass County, North Dakota. This was a Great Northern Railroad junction station built in 1912 in the northwest quarter of section 13-141-52, Amenia Township two miles north of Amenia. The site marked the point where the old Great Northern Railroad Casselton-Mayville line was crossed by the newly-built Surrey cutoff line. The station was named for the George H. Vance family which lived nearby. One son, Wallace, was the signal tower operator at the station, and another son, Ralph, was the railway mail clerk here. No development occurred at the site.
