The Retretti Art Centre is one of the largest art centres in the Nordic region. Located in the heart of Finnish lakeland and in close proximity to the magnificent Punkaharju Ridge, Retretti is unique in that it has galleries both above and below ground. The subterranean galleries and concert hall , excavated during the 1980s to a depth of 30 metres, cover an area of 3 700 square metres. The caves provide a unique and challenging setting in which to create and experience.
