Hassan ಹಾಸನ is a city and district headquarters of Hassan district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The town is situated 934 mts above sea level with fine weather similar to Bangalore. The town is home to the Master Control Facility of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and also to the Malnad College of Engineering MCE, one of the best colleges in the region. It was founded in the 11th century, by Channa Krishnappa Naik, a Palegar (chieften). The place is called Hassan after the Goddess "Haasanamba", the goddess and presiding deity of the town. It can be called as the temple-architectural capital of Karnataka.

    I am really proud to write few words about hassan , hassan is one of the beutfull city in kar , it is "second outy" in india becoz of hassan has weather like tht ,abt pepole in hassan is very soft & cool minded,if you visit hassan dont come bak without see the MNZARABAAD FORT, it is situated at sakleshpur 65 kms away frm the hsn.

    Hassan is famous for: Haasanamba temple - Because of Goddess Hassanamba, Hassan got its name. People whose native is Hassan will visit this temple atleast once a year (mostly during Diwali) Shraavanabelagula - The world's tallest monolithic statue Belur and Halebeedu - World famous temples MCF - Where most of the satellites are controlled after launching Sakleshpur - Very famous for its climate, forest, etc. My most favourite place in this world..     Even me recently visited Hassan for marriage function and found to be in a chiled environment as mentioned by all. I am basically born in Hassan and developed in Mumbai but still very proud to be a part of this region which is very famous and generous for every one.
