This small hospital has a 16-bed critical care facility and acts as a trauma-receiving facility. At nearly 80 miles from the nearest Level II Trauma Center, it has a helipad and often transports patients to the nearby airfield (S34-Plains)for air medical transport. It has the ability to call upon 4 nearby air medical systems: LifeFlight, from St. Patrick's Hospital and Health Sciences Center, CareFlight, from Community Medical Center, ALERT, from Kalispell Regional Medical Center, and MedstarFlight, from Spokane. It staffs an on-call trauma team and has an operating surgeon and two CRNAs.
