  • Originaaly Public School Pattanakad which was the apt name given by it founder Fr Varghese Chatthapparambil who was a visionary. But when it was handed over free of cost to sisters, they even changed the name of the school

  • This school was founded by Fr.Varghese Chathaparampil to provide high class education even to the poorest people in the area. He named it Public School, to show that it belongs to the public, not to be confused with any sectarian interest. He truly was a visionary.
  • Fr Varghese had an orphanage, dairy& farms,press and carving centre.He brought Holstein friesten bull from Bangalore and improved the livestock of the entire area. Now Pattanakad is c centre of wood carvind. It was he who trained the craftsmen here.With the school he gave modern education to the rural area. The property was his own and not of the church or society. The nuns who inherited his wealth did not honour him with a decent burial in the chapel he made with his own money![They said it would pollute their well!] Thosands of students and their families will ever remember him!
