A somewhat run-down Supercenter. It seems that this Walmart was built mostly to put the screws to the Auchan across the street, and likely Wal-Mart had tried to play up their "American" roots (which, to be honest, was a legitimate play since most of their wares were made in the U.S. at the time) against the French Auchan, which ultimately succeeded. While this sort of play only actually might have happened, it DID happen with the (partially French-owned at the time) bigg's hypermarket in Colorado.
