"Metsovio" technical university.
Here, at this building took place the most important fact in Greece's modern history.The -17 November 1973- student insurrection-uprise against the Regime of the Colonels (Papadopoulos' CIA driven military Junta) resulting to a series of events that led to a total recovery of the constitutional democracy in Greece and the seizure of the colonel's gang, ending up to the sequent "twice death" convictions against most of them.
Students were attacked by military tanks, it is still not known how many died that days of revolution.Student inside the ntua building were calling in help and support through their radio transmitter, the whole nation was shocked by the brutal violence and the militants ended up losing control.
17 November is still celebrated every year as a National day of Democracy recovery.

This is only the building of the faculties of Architecture and Fine Arts.The rest of faculties of Ntua are scatered around the city of Athens with the most of them sited at the "Zografou" Polytechnic-Complex, NE of Athens city centre.
