Opened on 31 August 2003, Bukit Nanas Monorail Station is an elevated monorail station that forms a part of the Kuala Lumpur Monorail Line. This station was formerly called P. Ramlee Monorail Station, which was named after the late P. Ramlee (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P._Ramlee), who is often considered the icon of Malay entertainment in Malaysia. The station name was changed to Bukit Nanas, after the adjacent Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve. The name "Bukit Nanas" when translated from Malay to English is known as "Pineapple Hill".
