The Voznesensky church (Ulan-Ude)

The Voznesensky church has been originally constructed as кладбищенская in 1789 and was outside the city. It was under construction of a larch, in two floors, with a belltower. The top side-altar, for the sake of Voznesenija Gospodnja have consecrated in 1816, and bottom, in honour of Archangel Michael, in 1811.

In 1929 a temple building have withdrawn and have transferred to the Verhneudinsky City Council. After closing used as a dining room for workers and employees of a skinnery, then under a hostel of employees of People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs.

Temple have returned РПЦ in 1945, and till 1990 it was the only thing operating in a city and republic. In the late seventies – the beginning of 80th after repair the temple became one-storeyed двухпридельным: the main side-altar is consecrated in honour of Voznesenija Gospodnja, lateral, southern – in honour of prelate Innokentija Irkutsk. At a temple there is a residence of the bishop the Uhlan - Udensky and Buryat
