A religious building of Karaites, an architectural heritage of the end of the 19th century.
Constructing of kenesa began on 18.8.1891.
Architect Borys Pokrovskyi.
Kharkiv Kenesa was consecrated on 24.11.1893.

The Kharkiv Karaite community was dissolved by the Soviet authorities in 1929. The building was used for the museum, then for the transport organization.
In 2006, Kenesa was returned to the Karaite religious community.
