Indeed Holy Cross English School have added so much values in inneumrable lives. I belief, this was possible not only because of Sisters Like Eugene or Alzira or Sister Mari or Sister Augusta but also because of wonderful Teachers the school was blessed in form of Mrs. Shah, Sir Kazi, Sir Desai, Sir Razvi, Mrs. Bhosale, Mrs. Thomas,Sir Athavle, Mrs.Shameem, Ms. Bharti, Sir Niaz, Sir S.D Ganorkar etc etc but I will always have a special place for Mrs.Ramu & Sir Phulgirkar - for me the shaped my destiny in ways more than one. But alongwith teahers the credit should & thanks are due to support staff like David, Prabhakar, PT instuctors like Sir Parkar & Siddiqui. The dedication each and every member associated with this institution, like Bhelwala Mathya or Berwali bai, the autorckshaw drivers, the bus driver& conductors made it so speeial......eh mera school tujhe salaam

sad, that we do not have sister eugine, sister claris (canteen) and sister janet with us anymore..sister janet died recently. i had her for my class teacher in class five. i am '92 batch. really fortunate to have this school for us all..
thanks to the school and and all who were part of it in so many ways as zishan so aptly puts it..

could not have asked for better schooling and school days.. above all the value system, the selfless nuns, the teachers and and all others.. yes kamala bai and babo-bi.. they all helped us build ourselves. every single day, the morning assembly to the one o clock metal clanging of the piece of dangling railway track.. has been a building block for us all.. thanks holy cross. we shall be for ever be indebted to this institution..... r sandesh (sandesh ramu if it helps)

Yes! I am a 1985 graduate of this marvellous school, which I started from Nursery till the X'th class. I still reminisce the great moments I've had in school and all its wonderful staff and teachers who have shaped us all into what we are today. We can never repay the self-less acts of all those sisters ( nuns ) and other teachers who have given their lives for the good cause of education. Right from the Assembly to the first 4 periods of the morning, then the interval & later the sleepy 4 last periods of the day from Monday to Friday was a routine then but a cherished memory now. I would never forget the outdoor classes under the shade of the Banyan or Tamarind tree which took place off & on. Lunch interval ( rule free ) football kicks are still fresh in my memories. I can still see Sr Eugene standing near the big play ground to watch who would hit the football on the Tamarind tree and run to collect those " khatta-meetha Imli". I was a victim of that situation once. Now that I am practising as a Physician of Internal Medicine in New York, I salute my school "HCEHS" and offer my prayers to all the dear departed students, teachers and nuns who have been associated with my wonderful school days.
