Raymundo House (Malabon)

Was built in 1861, the same year our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal was born and also the year San Bartolome Church, the most famous church in Malabon was built.

This house was built for a certain Dr. Raymundo. The symbol on the main arch indicates that the original owner was, indeed, a "medico" or doctor.

This heritage house is considered as the oldest surviving house in Malabon City.

  • Thanks a lot. there are more heritage houses in Malabon. I will tag them after I take pictures of them. There's even a house here wherein the ceiling was personally painted by Fernando Amorsolo. Also, the house where the revolutionary newspaper, La Independencia, was first published, is still well-preserved. It's called the Asilo de Huertano where children where quartered in 1882 because of a plague.
