  • Village of Dhrub has a very long and colourful history. The Turk community has been there for almost 450 years - One of the major contribution made by them was Dates ie Kharek.They introduced Dates ie Kharek to the area. This origanal Kharek (Date) seed is supposed to have been brought from present day Iraq and the cultivation is now spread to many parts of Kutch, Gujarat India. When full research is compleated it would be published here if we are allowed. to do so or on our future website www.katchibha.com. This history would include the history of Katchhi Turks, Village Dhrubh and also the history of other Katchhi tribes and clans. Katchhi Turks have migrated to Katchh India from Turkish geographical Area about 1650AD. We have about twelve clans in our community who are as follows: Ahmdhani, Bhegani,Bhrepotra, Dhorsani, Gaganpotra, Hassamani, Khanani, Mithani, Moosani, Nathani, Sayepotra and Virmani.
