Here until circa 2005 stood a late 18th Century or early 19th Century timber-frame log house clad over with weatherboard. During the Civil War, the structure served as a Confederate forces headquarters during the nearby battling. Abandoned and in serious disrepair, the building was bulldozed and made into a parking lot extension and garage annex for a school bus repair facility.
