Can you say "Ghetto"? This area used to be filled with the homes of many of Philadelphia's now-vanished blue collar workers and their
families. It is currently quite apparent (from the satellite photos) that nearly the entire area is devoid of buildings, as they have either
collapsed from neglect or been demolished. This area is a perfect example of the effects of unchecked suburban sprawl and the loss of
manufacturing jobs to other regions.
