HMAS Newcastle (FFG-06) (Sydney)

Final member of the Adelaide Class, the Royal Australian Navy version of the US Perry Class Frigate, she was built entirely in Australia, comissioned in 1993 and has since been homeported at Fleet Base East.

This is actually the Guided Missile Frigate HMAS Newcastle (FFG-06), zoom in and you can see the 06 on the flight deck. Newcastle is one of three FFG's based at Fleet Base East, the other two are HMAS Sydney (FFG-03) and HMAS Melbourne (FFG-05). No Anzac class Frigaters are based in FBE at the time this pic was taken.
