  • You forgot to mention it is the highest (altitude-wise - 4207m) village in the world with electricity, a motorable road and round-the-year military protection :-) not to mention a beautiful place
  • Kibber is not the highest village in the world but it is the second highest. Highest village is Gette, 7 km. from Kibber at an altitude of 4270 m.
  • Gette is not the highest village in the world.Hikkim is Highest village in the world with altitude 4400m.just 8km from Kaza in north east.....
  • No doubt Kibber village is beautiful. But there is another village named Thangu at North sikkim which is situated at a an elevation of 15000 ft. with a good motorable road. Thus Kibber village is not the highest village in India also.
  • How one can go three? What about accommodation facility?
  • hey, I respect your views. Kibber is no longer the highest village, It's komick at a height of 4587 m = 15049 feet. I recently visited Spiti so found out. Also, Thangu is at 13000 feet, Lived there for a week so I am definitely not mistaken about that.
  • You can reach kibber easily by a car, from Kaza. There are home stays available there, you can also trek to chicham(higher) village nearby and stay there :)
