  • this park has a long history of producing exceptional athletes from middle-class QUALITY families. Great baseball program back in the 70s. Traveling All Star teams competed at Hickory Hills during 4th of July and frequently won every age group. Also incredible wrestling program started in '71 by old man Guide. His teams won Area 4 city tournament for years and his program fed local high schools the best of the best. over the years he had countless assistants that helped him keep the program successful. today, they wrestle under the Vittum Cat flag but practice out of Shepard H.S. (im told).
