End point of trek to Har ki Doon in the Govind Pashu Vihar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Har Ki Doon valley is a cradle shaped hanging valley in the Garhwal Himalayas. It is surrounded by snow covered peaks and alpine vegetation. It is connected to Baspa Valley by the Borasu Pass

This valley is snow covered during October to March. The trek to the valley passes the villages of Osala, Gangaad and Seema. It is a 2 day trek from the end point of the road that is Taluka village. There is a shop and a small restaurant at Taluka, where trekkers can buy eatables like biscuits and wafers etc. The valley is around 20-25 kms from Taluka.

  • May 21st, 2008. We a group of 10 incl. 2 nine year olds trekked up the height around 12600 ft. via Taluka, Datmir + one place organised privately. I, aged 57, oldest in group di'nt have much problem. Pity we have such beautiful places, unfortunately undeveloped and most Indians talk of Switzerland etc., but would know nothing about Har-ki-Doon.
