I don't know how many times Mormon teenagers have tried to make me into a Mormon, so I've earned this chance to respond. Mormonism is as weird as Islam is. The Angel Moroni? Come on. Really, the world considers this religion to be weird. |

This "temple" is a temple to blasphemy. Strong words I almost never use, but I can't read about the details of this place without recoiling at the blasphemy of it all. |

So, the LDS church is "as wierd as Islam"? I can't believe we're still dealing with religious persecution and intolerence in the world today! The world considers this religion wierd? And since when have you known what the world thinks? According to population statistics from the "U.S. News & World Report", the LDS church is one of the top 5 largest in the U.S. and one of the fastest growing. "U.S. News & World Report" forcasts, based on statistical data trends, that the church could reach 265 million people by 2080 if it continues to grow at the rate it is currently. It sounds to me like the world is a little interested in what the LDS church has to say. |

Come one now, "temple of blasphemy". I can't believe we are still dealing with religious persecution and intolerence today! What is so "blasphemous" about a church that has different beliefs from your own? If we attacked everyone we disagreed with, there wouldn't be a person on this planet that we wouldn't be bickering with. I'm not suggesting that you share other people's beliefs, I'm just asking that you let them believe the way they want to while you believe what you want in peace. Instead of slandering accusations at people, we should treat them with respect. Who's to say who is right? Your beliefs are just as right or wrong as theirs are. |

To Aspen04, I am not "persecuting" your religion by saying that I don't believe in it at all. There is a difference, Did the L.D.S. teach you that anyone who disagrees with you is "persecuting" you? If I wanted to persecute your religion, I'd start by attacking those teenagers I see on bicycles, But I don't interfere with their attempts to talk Christians out of their churches, and into yours. |

I was reading about the "great apostasy" and I think that it is wrong. Christ said that "I will be with you, even to the end of the world". No great apostasy there. Peter, and his successors have that promise, and it's biblical. See www.vatican.va. |

Not a place for religious debate, and all said so far is gobbledygook! This is where you're supposed to comment on the building, which is an absolutely gorgeous structure. It's an odd mixture of styles yet has much of the grandeur of a Gothic Cathedral. At some point the decision was made to leave dark blotches in the local granite in place when constructing it, and they're clearly visible in its walls. It's an extremely interesting piece of architecture with an equally interesting history. |
