The long hill running roughly NE-SW, rising to 1400m, and overlooking the city of Geneva, from France. A winding road allows one to drive to the top; a cable car ascends from the village of Veyrier. In winter crosscountry skiing is a feature; in summer, rock-climbing, hiking, and hang-gliding are noteworthy.
