Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA), interlocking, train station, interlocking tower

Former PRR Station on the Mainline now served by Septa who along with Amtrack run trains along the mainline . Trains run from here to Central Philadelphia where it connects to the former Reading line to Lansdale/Doylestown.

The station is built in mid-20th century colonial style. About 50 feet east of the eastbound station is a stone freight shed, dating to about 1870; it is now a restaurant. On the westbound side is a splendid yellow brick-and-copper interlocking tower. The station that it replaced was torn down in 1963 when this one was erected.

The station is within the limits of BRYN MAWR interlocking. The tower was closed in 1994 after a fire. Interlocking uses a combination of slow (15 mph) and medium-speed (30 mph) turnouts.

Both the station and interlocking are owned by Amtrak.
