The Rizal Memorial Sports Complex is considered as the oldest sports complex in Asia. Formerly the Manila Carnival Grounds, the RMSC was built in 1934 for the Far Eastern Championship Games, a precursor to the Asian Games. It is named after the country's national hero, Dr. José Rizal. RMSC is owned by the City of Manila and is operated by the Philippine Sports Commission.
