Fisher Lecture Hall [FLH, Building 37] (Tallahassee, Florida)

USA / Florida / Tallahassee / Tallahassee, Florida
school, auditorium, Florida State University (FSU), lecture hall

This lecture hall is used for mostly chemistry classes.

Fisher was constructed in 1969, along with the Hoffman Laboratory next door.

Fisher is an oddly shaped building. It slopes down right in the middle. From a bird's eye view, it almost looks like a bowtie pasta noodle. There are two large lecture halls here, room 255 and room 275.

Both auditoriums have a balcony level. In total, each auditorium can seat about 400.

Named after the late James Robert Fisher, a former FSU Chemistry professor.

Before it was named, Fisher Hall used to be called simply the, "Chemistry Auditorium Building," while Hoffman Laboratory was known as the "Chemistry Laboratory Building."
