Train station Praha Vrsovice (Prague)

Train station Praha-Vršovice is useful mainly for travel to the South (Říčany, Benešov, Tábor and České Budějovice). It is also a starting point of the western branch of "Sazava Pacific" (railroads Praha - Vrané nad Vltavou - Čerčany and Vrané nad Vltavou - Dobříš; they run along a popular recreational area with many summer houses, campings and resorts for hiking and water sports). In the opposite direction, trains go to the main station.
The passenger station was opened in March 1882 as a station of private Emperor Franz Josef Railway (KFJB), cargo station was finished in 1886. Connection to Smíchov is operated since November 1882. The station of Czech Commercial Railway (route southeast to Krč) was originally opened as a standalone in SE part of present station, during 1883 it was abandoned and it was joined with KFJB station.
