Location: thirunaraiyoor sitheeswaram is 8kms from kummbakonam and 1km before nAchiyar kOil!

Main deity: Siddhanathar-Swayambu lingam. Consort Soundaranayagi.
Significances:The place is called Siddheeswaram since the Lord here is worshipped by Siddhars. This is considered the Siddha's living place
Legend: Methavi munivar worshipped lord here, had Lakshmi as his daughter and her marriage to Mahavishnu took place here. Lord Sani is with his family here with his own dwajasthambam.
Naran got the birth as a bird due to a curse by Dhurvasa muni and got it cleared with the blessings of Shiva here.Lord Muruga, Brahma, Vishnu, Markandeyan and Arjunan worshipped Shiva here.
Note: There is also a Ramanatha Swamy / Mangala Saneeswaran temple nearby where Saniswaran is present with his two wives and two children. This is the only place in the universe where Saniswaran is present with his whole family.

  • this is told as srimahAlakshmi dEvi's avathAra thalam! sukra (friday), pourNami pujA are vishesham here! when i hv visited a friday night, after the yAgnam, i cldn't feel the heat of the yAga guNtam make me surprised! the pattar told that it was hours but even i cld feel the heat more to add a chilled breeze near the window surrouded as dEvi's grace! nAchiyAr kOil, irAmanAtheeswar temple (mangala sani with his family) are near to this temple!
