Neermangatu Temple

History: Narasimha is the 4th Avatar of God Vishnu in the human-lion form. When the evil king Hiranyakashipu tries to kill his own son, Prahlada - who was a devotee of Vishnu, the Lord incarnates in his most violent form to save his devotee. With his anger the whole world started shivering. On seeing Prahlada he became calm and blessed Prahlada. This incarnation demonstrates that the God the values the worship of his devotees higher than anything else. In astrology, Narasimha is related with Mars, the most aggressive planet.
