This Marble Temple's construction completed in 1965. Said to be the tallest temple tower, and next tallest to Qutub Minar in New Delhi. The moat around it was emptied in late sixties.
Unique & grand temple. A place students at BHU call home. The cool breeze, the vishramshala, the serenity, the terrace and the tourists too, none other place like it. Truely god's abode.
Moreever it's most visiting place of university students.

  • when I was a student of BHU I used to visit vishvanath mandir.I saw Hindu Buddhist and Jain stanzas and pictures placed in there. I appreciate Hindu tolerance.
