The Center City Commuter Connection is a tunnel that runs under center city Philadelphia and carries all SEPTA regional rail trains. The tunnel was opened in 1984 and connected the formerly separate Reading Railroad commuter lines the the former Pennsylvania Railroad lines. The Tunnel contains two of SEPTA's three center city stations, Market East Station, and Suburban Station.
