"Storgozia" Fortress (Pleven)

The remains of the "Storgozia" Fortress are in the park "Kaylaka", near the city of Pleven, which has been inhabited since the Bronze Age.
It was built in late antiquity IV-VI century by the Romans in an area of 31 acres. The fortress walls are two meters thick, lined with stones soldered with white plaster. Inside the fortress were discovered several areas with residential and administrative purposes, in the eastern part is an early Christian basilica. Size Basilica is the second largest after the Tsars basilica in Pliska. In shape it is nave, narthex triabsidna high in the west.
Are preserved and restored fortification system, an early Christian basilica and archaeologists. Judging by archaeologists, religious facility that has been a rich interior and exterior decoration.
