administrative building, 1964_construction, academic building
Kettler Hall was the first (and only) building on campus when Purdue Fort Wayne opened its doors in 1964 as Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne.
Today the building houses both academic and administrative offices and features the newly remodeled Studio Theatre. Once known as "PIT," or Purdue-Indiana Theatre, the Studio Theatre showcases experimental productions. Kettler Hall is also home to a famed mastodon skeleton — the discovery of which on an Angola, Indiana, farm in 1968 led to IPFW's adoption of this unique mascot.
