Founded in 1886, the "Bibliothèque Forney" library, located in the "Hôtel de Sens", is devoted to the decorative arts, to the art professions, and to the fine arts. Its collections hold 230,000 volumes -- monographs, exposition and museum catalogs, periodicals, commercial catalogs and sale catalogs -- some of which may be borrowed. The collection is distinguished by its remarkable iconographic collections -- posters, post cards, wallpapers, textile prints, photographs, publicity and commercial images -- which regularly are on display in exhibitions.
