St Peter & The Guardian Angels R C Church, built in 1903
A Roman Catholic Church behind which, for many years, stood St Josephs Sch0ol. The school closed with the opening of the new St Josephs in Gomm Road junction with Lower Road in the late 1960's. The church has been shown as would have been seen from the window of the Queens Head pub. Directly opposite the church once stood Park Buildings, four buildings each five stories high and about 100 yards in length. They were opened in 1908 and demolished late 1970's.
