C.V.S. Pharmacy

This C.V.S. location opened in the early 1960s as a People's Drug. At the other end of the previous shopping center was a Giant Food. Giant Food moved across MD 5 in the early 1980s, leaving their previous store abandoned. Most other stores located in the shopping center closed or moved, leaving all but the People's Drug and a liquor store adjacent as tennants. Then in the early 1990s, most of the old shopping center was torn down, and rebuild and expanded with a Safeway and Caldor.
