Meedhoo is an island on the northeastern rim of Southern Nilandhe Atoll, Maldive Islands. The atoll has is also known as Dhaal Atoll according to the custom of administrative code names after letters in the Dhivehi alphabet. The island has a population of 1,136, and has facilities like school, health centre. Meedhoo was badly affected by the 2004 tsunami. The island has undertaken a land reclamation program to extend available land.
