This new facility was constructed in 2009 in Bellville on 7.6 acres of land near Interstate 71, just south of Mansfield. The new facility is the largest state genealogical society in the United States. It is a fully-equipped research library, primarily for Ohio family research, including census records, cemetery listings, bible records, vertical files, manuscripts, newspapers, and lineage papers for First Families of Ohio, Society of Civil Way Families of Ohio, and Settlers & Builders of Ohio. The old location of the Ohio Genealogical Society was at 713 S. Main St. in Mansfield.
