The Queen Elizabeth II Pier is one of the piers used for Thames river services. It serves North Greenwhich station and the 02 (formerly the Millennium Dome). It was originally built in the 1880s as a coaling jetty for the former Greenwich gasworks before this closed in the late 1980s.
