Neyyar Dam

Neyyar Dam, established in 1958, is located around 30 km east of Thiruvananthapuram and 38 km from Trivandrum International Airport, at the foot of the Western Ghats. Neyyar, Mullayar and Kallar are the rivers nourishing the dam. Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary is nearby. Watch tower, crocodile farm, lion safari park and deer park are the other attractions. Boating can be made in the reservoir. Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram is close to Neyyar dam. The site is very well connected by buses from Thiruvananthapuram.
