Willingdon Sports Club
Is one of the most exclusive sports clubs of Mumbai. It was established prior to Independence. Some of the old traditions continue (e.g. ring little brass bells to summon the waiters).

Needs to impruve management. Get rid of Managing committee to run the day to affairs of the club and and appoint a CEO. This is a resort, so appoint a professional and not retired people to be incharge. Spend money, upgrade. Do not hoard forfuture. Money value depletes in time. | ||||

Sadly enough this club has gone down. It cannot compare with Delhi Golf Club, Tollygunge Club or Royal Calcutta Golf Club. Maybe they should close the club and utilise the land better in a space-starved Mumbai !! | ||||

A poorly kept & maintained establishment, my first impression was - is this what the fuss is all about!!! Filth all around, poorly maintained buildings, stray dogs and cats around the dining area, very poor hygiene. After a while you realize this is nothing but a reflection of Mumbai - you can't keep the city out. Nevertheless was a useful place for the few years that I was on assignment in Mumbai. | ||||
