Opened October 31, 2013 as Hotel Nikol'skaya Kempinski Moscow. The hotel was constructed behind the historic facades of multiple buildings facing Lubyanka Square.
In June 2014, it became The St. Regis Moscow Nikolskaya.
Marriott severed their relationships with all hotels in Russia in 2022, but the hotel continues to use the St. Regis name, even though it is no longer part of the international chain.
